“ I used to draw a lot as a child and when I retired I visited an amateur art exhibition and was persuaded to join the Hallam Art Group. I began, as I suppose most people do, painting in watercolour and having an interest in buildings I concentrated along these lines. After a few years, a close friend of mine sadly passed away and I inherited his acrylic paints. This led me to experiment a little and I found that I became interested in painting geometric abstracts, which is something I have really enjoyed. Having visited Australia, I also enjoy dot painting. Maybe in time something else will take my fancy, who knows! “
