Tone Workshop
Trying to present, instruct and paint all at the same time!
Thursday 16th January - we started 2025 with a workshop on Tone.
Glyn gave short talk on the importance of value in paintings and drawings. Putting colour aside allows us to think clearly about establishing accurate values.
The members then embarked on an exercise in painting (or drawing) using the reference images - with the objective of getting the values right (without worrying about drawing or colours)
Our members produced some wonderful (and fast) tonal studies.
